GRAPHITE PETROLEUM COKE

Graphitized Petroleum Coke (GPC) is an essential raw material in the metallurgical industry, widely used as a carbon raiser (recarburizer) in steelmaking and casting processes. It is produced through the high-temperature graphitization of petroleum coke at 2,500-3,500°C, characterized by its high fixed carbon content, low sulfur, and low impurity levels. GPC is known for its high absorption rate, stable performance, and efficiency in reducing harmful elements like sulfur and nitrogen in the molten metal. This makes it an ideal material for producing high-quality steel, cast iron, and alloys. Graphitized petroleum coke is made by calcined petroleum coke. The main process is the graphitiztion in the graphitization furnace. Graphitized petroleum coke is a good quality recarburizer product with low nitrogen Characteristics.

The produced graphitized petroleum coke/GPC overcomes the traditional Acheson furnace product unstable
weaknesses, becomes the first choice of many production enterprises, such as high-end wind power castings,
auto motive castings production enterprise, nuclear power casting, etc. It is widely used in the special smelting
and foundry casting process, especially meeting the strict requirement of low sulphur and nitrogen content in
the ductile iron and grey iron casting industry. It is also used as absorbent of heavy metal in the wastewater
treatment system and the raw material of graphite cathode in the aluminum electrolysis cell.
