Sic 90% Silicon Carbide Granules High Purity for Abrasive Grinding

Silicon Carbide (SiC) is a high-performance inorganic compound produced by high-temperature smelting of quartz sand, petroleum coke, and wood chips. Known for its exceptional hardness, thermal stability, and chemical resistance, it is widely used as an abrasive and advanced ceramic material.
In cast iron production, SiC decomposes into Si and C, increasing carbon content, enhancing reducibility, reducing furnace erosion, and promoting ferrite while preventing carbide precipitation. It delivers denser structure, better machinability, and bright cutting surfaces. In nodular iron, it boosts nodule count, improves spheroidization, and effectively eliminates shrinkage and subsurface defects.

Sic 90% Silicon Carbide Granules High Purity for Abrasive Grinding

Silicon carbide was fused by heating high purity silicon sand and carbon in electrode furnace above 2500 0C. It is the hardest blasting media available. High-quality silicon carbide media is manufactured to a blocky grain shape that splinters. The resulting silicon carbide abrasives have sharp edges for blasting. Silicon carbide  has a very fast cutting speed and can be recycled and reused many more times than sand. The hardness of silicon carbide allows for much shorter blast times relative to softer blast media.
